A very special Treasure Hunt

It started with a red envelope taped to the Jio register in the drawer (The jio register is a much needed Bookworm idiosyncrasy that arose from a curious case of missing jio’s,  missing charging cords, and uncharged jio’s.) The envelope said ‘Terence’ in bold black letters.

Terence was duly summoned and handed over this envelope, with the thought that he might otherwise miss this altogether (a very likely thing!). And so Terence was the first to receive his gift. (“I was happy to open my card”, said Terence :))

Through the day and days ahead, each one came across many more of these special envelopes in the strangest of places. Strange but familiar.

Amruta went searching for her’s high and low, before discovering it taped to the wall behind the bookshelf in the LiS room.

“I didn’t find mine easily, because the wall color and card color was the same. Thank you Ma’am for these lovely wordings. Lots of love.”

Shaheen went to sit down at the sewing machine and…

“Mera card sewing machine ke upar tha. Woh words padh ke bahut khushi Aaya.”

Lalita’s was stuck to a hanging book, that floated in the air.

“My card seeking was like a happy treasure hunt!”

While Shifa’s got accidentally xeroxed, before she opened the scanner to find her’s nestled within.

“Unexpected and exciting. Thank you, Sujata.”

Geeta:

“My card said ‘Love and peace to you when I am gone’. Thank God I found it!

But missing you Ma’am.”

Melcom stomped up and down with great determination, before he discovered his near the monthly calendar board.

“It was very hard for me to find. But when I came to know that others had found theirs, my curiosity to find mine became stronger and stronger!”

Uday (our driver), had a wide smile as he noticed his stuck to the bean bag which is ‘Uday’s spot’ in the library.

Deepali’s was bright red with a special message within!

“I first thought it was a game and was wondering how I missed reading this mail. I’m always surprised at Sujata’s intuition and deep understanding…”

Sakshi’s was stuck to the stationery cart that she often takes care of..

“Thank you Ma’am for thinking about me. ” 🙂

Ulka (our accountant) sat down at her usual place, and found her name right in front of her.

“I sat down and it was there in front of me. I thought there was money inside. Then I recognized Sujata’s writing, and was wondering if some firing (shouting) was inside (said Ulka with a straight face!). But then I read the words and was very happy.” 🙂

Pranita:

“Mine said ‘A fortnight of togetherness’. Thank you!”

A few team members are yet to uncover their treasures and excitement is high, as they search high and low.

As for Stephie and me, we had great fun, capturing all these moments of joy!

Stephie:

‘I thought my card might be on this window seat because it is my favorite place! My card said ‘Keep dancing’. I’m so happy, I’m still dancing Sujata.” 🙂

Anandita:

“Mine was at the first place I went to when I entered in the morning! It was a joy to receive these treasures. Thank you!”

But what was the occasion? Our Library Educator and Team Mentor had gone on a much needed break and left all these treasures behind for her team to uncover..

Thank you Sujata! We MISS you!
