I have girls !

In my very own family, I am surrounded by boys. On a recent ​Bookworm ​trip to Mumbai I was surrounded by girls. For 6 days, experiences of a unique kind for me clouded my heart and soul and I am grateful. 

Krupa, of the happy chatter, bubbling kind of energy smiled with my heart beat every time I looked at her. Her enthusiasm for life is so palpable that for the first time I took delight in so much of city life and plastic bags of shopping.

I had late nights every night because of this heart child Aishwarya. Her biological clock kicks in around the 5. 00 pm mark and then she nudged my heart and mind for the rest of many a long evening, even declaring that I should not look at her ​while ​making faces. Oh ! the sheer joy of girls. 

Shruti hydrated me, fed me on demand and watched out for me. If I had to get some last- minute stationery or take a trip into the crowded market lanes, Shruti was by my side. A young escort who strengthened me with her presence and cared for me at all times. 

And after being fed, laughed at and with, I would lie down to sleep and a gentle voice would ask, ‘are you sleeping?” and a tale of immense delight or deep profundity would emerge from Alia and we would laugh​, giggle, think thoughts aloud deep into the night giving me the joy of a near all-nighter with a girl friend.

But no crown is replete if not for its jewels, I had mine in –  Jewel. What ever ails I brought back to the residence, Jewel allayed. She filled up all the joints in our talk, our silences, our planning and our living together and for 6 days , I had girls !
