It is the 10th year of this wonderfully bookish place called Bookworm and its going to be a year long celebration to commemorate the birth and growing up years of this baby. We have kicked off the celebrations with our Birthday Blast Party for the Preschoolers last week. And what a blast it was. The children were surprised to know that the library has a birthday party of its own too. As they accepted the idea of this party, everyone were excited and happy. In keeping with our celebrations, the book, ‘Mr.Rabbit and the lovely present’ was read aloud. Songs were sung, many games were played which included a tell a short story game too…. amid laughter and joy, the birthday cake was cut with many tiny hands, the ten glowing candles were blown enthusiastically by all with the ‘Happy Birthday’ song sung with gusto by the children and adults present. The children all colored and decorated a huge birthday cake for the library too. The cake and the party gifts were distributed to all making it a super duper party. As Vruddhi said that we have birthdays so that we can have a party. I wish that Bookworm has many many more such birthdays. Happy Birthday Bookworm!!!
