The Goa Writers group will be organising an exposure session introducing writers and artists to the world of the graphic book. The two-hour event will be held on Tuesday, July 10, starting 5pm, at a venue to be announced soon.
Vivek Menezes and Jose Lourenco will make presentations on the subject. Amruta Patil, author of the award-winning graphic novel ‘Kari’ will talk about her work. Salil Chaturvedi and Aniruddha Sen Gupta will conduct a short session on writing for graphic literature. Samples of the best graphic books, both international and India, will be available for participants to browse through.
The event is open to all writers, artists and illustrators interested in the genre — writers in local languages are particularly encouraged to apply. However, seats are limited so a screening process may be followed.
To apply for registration to the event, send an e-mail by Tuesday, July 3 to firstname.lastname@example.org, mentioning in short why you would like to attend. Confirmation on your application will be made by Friday, July 6.
Please circulate this mail and the attached poster among those you think might be interested, post it on your Facebook page, tweet and blog about it. If you have the wherewithal, announce it in the media.
