Cholta Cholta – Walking and Sketching, 11th March
March 3, 2011

Cholta Cholta – Friday, March 11th – 5.00 pm ( Assemble at the foot of the Panjim Church steps)
Walking and Sketching  atop the Altinho, with Prita Sardessai, Sujata Noronha and Harshada Kerkar
Cholta Cholta is walking up the Altinho hill. We will trot, climb, scamper and trip our way up the old steps to arrive at the present day Bench of the Bombay High Court in Goa.
Lets discover this erstwhile and oldest Secondary School of Goa in the 1800’s and admire what remains of the views from this side of the hill.
We will then continue to walk along the side face of the hill, observing architecture both old and new and houses that are crumbling with time. We  will then, arrive at the present day Portuguese Consulate in Goa and climb up more steps, to take in some breath taking views and learn about the 12 Crosses and Mercury House.
We will sit at the top of the steps and with guidance and support from artist Harshada Kerkar, we will sketch what struck us and what we want to remember from this cholta cholta.
